Abstract:
Construction of the Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project will alter the natural flow of the Susitna River. The purpose of this study is to provide a quantitative, spatially explicit model to predict potential effects to downstream floodplain vegetation from Project-modified operational flow, sediment, and ice process regimes. This draft document reports on Alaska Energy Authority's status in implementing the study as set forth in the FERC-approved Revised study plan and as modified by FERC's Study plan determination issued April 1, 2013 and in the 'Riparian instream flow, groundwater, and riparian vegetation studies FERC determination response technical memorandum filed July 1.
