Abstract:
The object of this study is to assess the situation created by a hydropower dam placed on the Mayo River in 1954 which poses a complete barrier to the upstream migration of fish and to acquire iinformation on other fish that inhabit this stream. Chinook salmon that had spawned above the dam are now small in number below the dam.
