Abstract:
This report was released by the Governor's Economic Committee and is on the feasibility of a Trans-Alaska Gas System to markets, primarily Japan and other East Asian countries. A few passages make comparison to the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation System (ANGTS). The "Legal" section includes considerable discussion on the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Act of 1976 (ANGTA). Former governors Walter J. Hickel and William A. Egan served as co-chairmen on the committee.
