Abstract:
From August 2017 to October 2020, biologists with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game collected the streamflow data necessary to file a reservation of water on the Little Susitna River. Reservations of water protect instream flows necessary for fish habitat, migration, and propagation. A streamgage was installed on the Little Susitna River and remained in operation for the duration of the project. Streamgage data was combined with previous studies to compile five years of daily streamflow data for the Little Susitna River. This hydrologic record combined with available fish use information will be used to file an application for a reservation of water with the Department of Natural Resources.
