Abstract:
The 1897 Cutter Bear Album contains photographic images taken during the 1897 cruise of the Revenue Cutter "Bear." Subjects include the "Bear," its crew and the places and people seen during the year. There are also photographs with similar subjects dated 1896. Also included is a letter written by H. S. Wood in 1897 and a small, hand-drawn map of Alaska and eastern Siberia.
