Abstract:
The Michael Collier Glacier Photographs contain 2643 color transparencies of Alaska glaciers from a 2002 scientific study. Images include glaciers, icefields, mountain ranges, and the landscapes around these features. Glaciers photographed include Aialik, Alsek, Backside, Bear, Beliot, Blackston, Bench, Bering, Brady, Buckskin, Davidson, Denver, Doubt, Double, Fassett, Ferris, Grand Pacific, Grand Plateau, Great, Grewingk, Gulkana, Herbert, Kennicott, Lakina, Lamplugh, La Perouse, Le Conte, Long, Malaspina, Marjorie, Matanuska, McBride, Meade, Mendenhall, Miles, Muir, Nelchina, North Goodwin, Reid, Triumvirate, Turner, Tustumena, Upper Knik, Upper Matanuska, Upper Nebesna, Upper Nellie Juan, Variegated, Wolverine, Worthington, and Yakutat. Other landscape features photographed include: Chigmit Mountains, Chugach Mountains, Haines, Harding Icefield, Juneau, Lake Clark Pass, Lituya Bay, Matanuska Valley, Mt. Fairweather, Mt. Iliamna, Redoubt Volcano, and the Stikine Icefield. All images are color transparencies in 645 format (56mm x 41mm).
