ORAL HISTORY 85-274 Billy and Martha James talk about smoking and drying salmon in Port Camden, working at Dry Fish camp is described in detail, fish heads, alternate method of smoking meat, venison, and seal and packing it in seal grease, head of deer, salmon eggs, canning ducks and geese, transporting subsistence food in boat, camping on Marmion Island, gardens, digging fern roots, wild rice, rhizomes, Indian rhubarb, tseit, and collecting and preserving Sux' - hemlock sap.
