Abstract:
Have you ever wondered what's going on inside your pet's mind? In "What Are Animals Thinking?" find out how a beehive resembles a human brain and whether your dog is really feeling guilty when it gives you that famous 'guilty look'. To that end, David Pogue meets and competes with a variety of animals, upending conventional wisdom about their smarts. Yale scientist Laurie Santos, who's studying a community of rhesus macaques that shares similarities with human society, is also profiled.
