Abstract:
On Side A, Eustace Paul Ziegler is interviewed by an unidentified female interviewer in Fairbanks, Alaska on January 12, 1955. He talks about coming to Cordova, painting in Alaska, his picture "Doing the 'Sessment Work," and people he knew such as Cap Lathrop and Sydney Laurence. Mrs. Jessie Mather is interviewed by an unidentified female in Fairbanks, Aalska on January 12, 1955. Mrs. Mather tells how she came to live in Eagle by accident, the formation of the Eagle Public Library Association, and recreation in Eagle. She's on her way down to live in the Pioneers Home in Sitka at this time.

On Side B, Ed Farrell is interviewed by an unidentified female in Fairbanks, Alaska on June 1, 1954. Farrell lived in Dawson for 4 years before moving to Fairbanks, where he mined on Pedro Creek. He talks about following different stampedes all over the state: Livengood, Ruby, Rampart, Golden Creek, Chandalar. His experiences include driving a horse and buckboard to Valdez from Fairbanks, marrying a couple when a preacher was lacking, and past and present ventures in mining. Mrs. Rebecca Farrell is interviewed by an unidentified male in Fairbanks, Alaska on January 8, 1955. Mrs. Farrell relates a story of flying from Fairbanks to Nome with Noel Wien, a smallpox incident aboard a steamer bound for Nome, the use of horses in the early days, and a tale of a first mate posing for a picture on a piece of ice out at sea.
