Samantha Richert talks about her personal background, attending the University of Washington museology program for her master's degree, working for the Park Service as a student, taking a job at Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in Skagway, Theresa Thibault, working as a museum curator, Deb Boettcher, exhibit planning, the Rapuzzi Collection, working on the scope of collection statement, archeology, representative samples, compliance archeology, the size of the Rapuzzi Collection, George Rapuzzi, Debbie Sanders, Judy Munn, space allocation, providing access, tension between some residents of Skagway and the Park Service, Phyllis Brown, Tekla Helguson, object ID days with the community, the automatons originally in Jeff. Smiths Parlor, Martin Itjen's streetcar, Nicole Peters, Scott Carrlee, deciding which objects need to be conserved, Theresa Thibault, the politics of working for the Park Service, working and living in the community of Skagway, her husband, negotiating relationships as part of her job, impact of the park on Skagway, working with other staff for the visitor center exhibits, the Jeff.
