Abstract:
Follows the experiences of one family from Fukuoka, Japan through succesive wars: the Satsuma rebellion, the Sino-Japanese War, the Russo-Japanese War and the Second World War. The final part of the film focuses on a young man being shipped off to World War II, and his mother and father have different reactions.
