Abstract:
Erma Lawrence talks about her family, her childhood in Kasaan, her education at Sheldon Jackson School where she was the third generation of her family to attend, her grandmother's uncle who witnessed the transfer of Alaska to the U.S. in Sitka, Haida traditional dance costumes, World War I in Kassan, Charles Hawksworth, her work with the Presbyterian Church, Haines House orphanage, Benjamin Haldane, William Hamilton, and Ketchikan in the 1920s.
