Abstract:

Capital Focus Newsmagazine was produced and hosted by Joe Holbert from 1998 through 2002. A Sunday public policy talkshow, it led into prime time, bookended by ABCs This Week and ABC World News. The list of guests includes many of Alaska's policy makers. Each show focused on a current issue, with between two to six guests discussing it. Many of the participants were elected officials or in government service, but the list includes those from the private sector as well, such as fishing, mining, environmental, and tourism industries along with the Alaska Native community.
