Includes telegrams received and sent and weather reports kept by Joseph T. Bauer, a former member of the U.S. Army Signal Corp., who operated the station supported by contracts with the mining companies on Chichagof Island; major correspondents include: Nick Bez, Arthur Rust, and James L. Freeburn of the Chichagof Gold Mining Co. and Lew G. Kay and D.J. Williams of the Hirst-Chichagof Gold Mining Co.
