Abstract:
Joseph relates the story of the Aukquon, Auk tribe of Tlingit Indians, beginning at the Stikine River in the 15th century. He mentions settlements at Auk Bay and Taku Inlet, seal hunting at Young's Bay, and the formation of the river when the Taku Glacier dammed up the river. He includes some family history and lineage.
