Betty West Miller, lifelong resident of Juneau, Alaska, is a genealogist, indexer, and local historian. She was born, Betty Jean West, at St. Ann's Hospital, Dec. 11, 1936, married Norm Miller, Nov. 2, 1956. The Millers have two sons, Norm, Jr. and Daryl.

Series 1. Photo album by Charles Carlton "Carl" Collen, cook and deckhand on the mail boat, Yakobi, ca. 1933, when it was chartered for the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey to map and chart areas in the Bering Sea. The Yakobi ran aground at Sand Point but floated off with no damage or injuries. William J. Erskine was a member of the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey on the charter. Collen is the step-grandfather of Betty West Miller -- Series 2. Converse-Bland, Miller-West family photographs, Juneau and Douglas, Alaska, 1920s-1940s.
