Abstract:
Images include take-off and travel to Point Hope in Wien airplane, children playing in school yard, sled dogs, residents use sled dogs and umiaks to move supplies from beach and ship, women and children, man cutting sod insulation, women chewing mukluk soles, women scraping hides, man carving mask, villagers performing traditional dances, drummers, men excavating site and looking for artifacts, and sail boat arriving. Images at Deering include women and children cleaning fish on beach, man making fish net, net being placed in water from skiff and pulled ashore by hand, man painting bottom of wood dory, woman cleaning hide with ulu, and float plane being fueled. Images in Anaktuvuk Pass include dog teams next to airplane on skis, gathering firewood, camp with skin-covered tents, hunter glassing mountain pass, butchering caribou, hunter on snowshoes, dogs being harnessed, children, camp with skin houses, hauling wood with dog sleds, children playing, and people in camp.
