Abstract:
Full title of film is "On Our Own: Opportunities for Natives after Land Claims Settlement." Native elders and leaders give their views of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. Speakers include Emil Notti at Anchorage, John Schaeffer at Kotzebue, Douglas Brown and Robert Newlin at Noorvik, Lincoln Bifelt and Catherine Attla at Huslia, Madeline Solomon at Bishop Mountain, Marlene Johnson at Hoonah, and Nelson Angapak at Anchorage. Program was produced for the Alaska Unorganized Borough School District through the Alaska Native Foundation, and is copyright 1975 by the Alaska Unorganized Borough School District.
