Abstract:
Program was aired on KOMO Television in Seattle. Part 1 details C-130 Hercules cargo aircraft airlift activities and sealift barge activities to Prudhoe Bay prior to construction of the Dalton Highway in Alaska. Part 2 details the first winter overland truck and cat train trip to Prudhoe Bay. The route commonly called the Hickel Highway went through Stevens Village and Anaktuvuk Pass.
