Abstract:
Charles Lazeration is interviewed by Margaret Van Cleve on October 1, 1993 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Lazeration talks about hardrock mining in the 1930s and 1940s in the Fairbanks District, where he worked for Cleary Hill Mining Company. During World War II, the company switched from gold to tungsten mining. Lazeration also worked in construction for the DEW-line sites, and on the pipeline hauling equipment.
