Abstract:
Summary: Videos document travel along the Haul Road from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay during July 19 - 23, 1982. The trip aided in preparing a group of scientists for the Fourth International Conference on Permafrost, held in 1983 by the National Academy of Sciences. Part 1 (AAF-6565) contains images of travel from the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus to Mile 53 of the Haul Road. Part 2 (AAF-6566) contains images of travel from Mile 53 to the Yukon River camp. Part 3 (AAF-6567) contains images of travel from Yukon River camp to Mile 83. Part 4 (AAF-6568) contains images of travel from Mile 83 to Old Man camp. Part 5 (AAF-6569) contains images of travel to Grayling Lake at Mile 151. Part 6 (AAF-6570) contains images of travel along the Haul Road on day three. Part 7 (AAF-6571) contains images of Coldfoot and Wiseman. Part 8 (AAF-6572) contains images of Dietrich Pass.
