Don talks about Adolph Nelson, his paternal grandfather homesteading in Nenana, the Alaska Railroad ending at Nenana, President Harding driving the golden spike in Nenana, Horace Calderhead, Hubert Wilkin's ground crew in Nenana, Tolovana, his dad using horses and Bill Burke using dog teams to carry the mail, river boats on the Tanana River, Taku Chief, steamboats used on the Tanana River in the early days, the steamboat Yukon, Tanana, Koyukuk River, Innoku River, Iditarod River, Fred Stickman, his views about removing gravel from the Tanana River, the consequences of overloading his barge, Yukon River, Nenana River, Jim Binkley's paddle wheel boat that was used on a ferry route, Art Peterson, Yutana, hauling sacks of coal on a barge, Morris Thompson, Gordon Bettles, and piloting a boat on the Koyukuk River.
