Tishu Ulen talks about some of the old timers in Wiseman, Carl Frank, Pete Dow, Henry Pingle, Jack Hood, Albert Ness, chopping wood in the spring and hauling into Wiseman in the fall, Hughie Boyle mining on Nolan Creek, George Eaton, people hunting on the South Fork in September, Coldfoot, George and Steve Bajanis, Ulyana Bajanis, Sam Statis, O'Brien Statis, Pete Radisch, John Popawich, Martin Cisco, Jack Welch, Edward Marsen, Mabel Marsen, John Bowman, Hans Christensen, Bob Marshall's expedition to Mount Doonerak, Kenneth Harvey, Jess Allen, Harry Snowden, Nellie Katchmen, her mother's story about the a white man coming into their village on the Alatna River, Jack White, Casey Arthur Hill's roadhouse in Wiseman, Neuf Ellickson, Harry Leonard, Pete Hask, Olaus Murie, hunting caribou on the South Fork, Big Lake, Gus Larson, and George Mangallus.
