Abstract:
Tishu Ulen talks about preparing caribou hides, using the caribou hide for boots and parkas, her mother trading fox skins for dresses at Coldfoot, other types of hides used for clothing, different responsibilities of men and women, trapping, her trap line, Hammond River, coyotes in the Wiseman area, trapping a wolf, a severe illness that damaged her hearing, her parents traveling around when she was young, and adoption.
