Abstract:
Tishu Ulen talks about trapping, setting snares for lynx, Jenny Creek, trouble with wolverines, how she would skin a lynx, using money from trapping to send her son to school, trapping foxes, setting traps for wolves, her daughters, Florence and Mary, hunting caribou, skinning a wolf and preparing the pelt, how she would prepare a moose hide, smoking the moose hide, taking care of herself after her husband died, Ben Ulen working as a pilot, the first airplane she saw in 1924, Noel Wien, the crowd that gathered to see the first plane land, spiritual aspects of animals, and the feast at the end of trapping season.
