H87-78-10 Joe and Celia Beetus talk about historic sites in the Koyukuk River area, old igloos around Hughes, his parents trading furs and getting supplies, Allakaket, Arctic City, where Joe's parents were born, his family moving to Hughes from Allakaket, living on the Hogatza River after they were married, trapping in the winter, working as a heavy equipment operator, working on a river boat on the Koyukuk and Tanana Rivers, Bettles, Wiseman, fish camp, trapline etiquette, traveling down the Hogatza River, Old Man Attla, when they started to use airplanes for transportation, Donald Stickman, Jimmy Walker, game wardens, Sam Dubin and his stores in Hughes and Alatna, Bettles, steamboats hauling supplies, Frank Kobuk, and sites on the Koyukuk River.
