Justus Mekiana talks about the time he was treated for tuberculosis, going to the hospital in Tanana, being sent down to the hospital in Anchorage for surgery, Nicholas McCulloch, quitting smoking, what he thinks of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, Pat O'Connell, Homer Mekiana talking to him about drinking, and sharing his knowledge with his children.

Justus Mekiana talks about skinning caribou, Kenny Mekiana helping his elders, constructing one of the first log houses in Anaktuvuk Pass, his sod house, Ben Ahgook, his first snow machine and ATV, his father's first camera, Gates of the Arctic National Park management, traditional use areas within the park, restrictions by Fish and Game when they first settled in Anaktuvuk Pass, Bob Rausch, Simon Paneak, Arctic Slope Native Association and the Nunamiut Corporation.
