Abstract:
Justus and Ethel Mekiana describe photographs and talk about using dog teams for packing when they hunted, trees, using a generator in the church, using dogs to carry camping equipment, moving around in the summer in small groups, the types of equipment they used while camping, packing meat, whitefish, making seal-skin boots, the itchalik - tents made out of caribou skins and willows, forming poles for the tent, construction of the tent, using a telescope for hunting, Charles Brower, trading posts, Barrow, Beechey Point, the types of rifles he used for hunting, the sod houses they used in the winter, radios, using willows for heat, leggings made from wolf skin, hauling wood and having a store in Anaktuvuk Pass.
