This document is a letter with five attachments sent on June 23, 2016, to Kimberly D. Bose, Secretary of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), from representatives of seven organizations (conservation groups and citizen groups) as a comment from those organizations on the Initial Study Report (which comprises sixty volumes published in 2014 and 2015). Those representatives are: Mike Wood (President, Susitna River Coalition), Whitney Wolff (Board President, Talkeetna Community Council), Judy Price (Board President, Alaska Survival), Ellen Wolf (Board Secretary, Talkeetna Defense Fund), Ryan Schryver (Deputy Director, Alaska Center), Sam Snyder (Alaska Engagement Director, Trout Unlimited), and Emily Anderson (Alaska Sr. Program Manager, Wild Salmon Center). This comment specifically addresses the studies numbered 10.5 to 10.9 and 10.20. (Another comment was sent the same day addressing other studies.) The attachment is a memorandum from Cameron Wobus and Connie Travers (Abt Associates) and Robert Prucha (Integrated Hydro Systems) dated "6/4/2016," and is a report requested by Wild Salmon Center.

Abstract:
This document is the response of seven organizations regarding the Initial Study Report (ISR) for the proposed Susitna-Watana Hydroelectric Project (FERC No. 14241). The ISR is required by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for the licensing of the proposed project. This document comprises a 28-page letter that critiques Studies 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, 10.9, and 10.20 and a set of attachments totalling 67 pages. These sections of the Initial Study Report are wildlife studies. The attachments, all written by Sterling Miller, are detailed reviews of the comments addressed in the letter.
