Abstract:
The goal of the study is to obtain sufficient information on three dominant predators and game animals in the region - brown bear, black bear, and wolf - to use in evaluating Project-related effects and identifying any appropriate protection, mitigation, or enhancement measures. The study area includes Game Management Unit 13E plus portions of Subunits 13A, 16A, and 16B (thus, this includes areas outside the Susitna basin--areas along the Denali Highway and Cantwell area south of the Alaska Range).
